The Objectives

The Center for Social Audit Transparency and Accountability ( C-SATA) was established in the year 2011.The objective of the C-SATA is to build the capacities of various departments and elected representatives of rural and urban bodies and common people in social audits. C-SATA closely works with SSAAT (Society for Social Audit Accountability and Transparency) a autonomous unit under Department of Rural Development of Telangana


  • Facilitating Training and Capacity building of Social Audit team State Resource Person (SRPs) District Resource Persons(DRPs) and Village Social Auditors (VSAs)
  • Conducting Training Programmes to Social Audit on MGNREGS,ASARA Pensions, IWMP, Mid day meal programmes etc .

On Going Activities

I.30 Days Certificate Course to DRPs of Telangana State:


The Certificate Course training program is funded by the Ministry of Rural Development (MORD) which was designed in such a way that all the DRPs will be trained at TSIPARD in 10 batches. The activities of Certificate Course Training Programmes are listed below:.


Preparation of curriculum (1st- 15th August,2016):
  • Preparation of curriculum
  • Vetting of curriculum before it is approved by academic council.
  • Approval of curriculum by Academic Council
  • Translation of curriculum into Hindi and English
  • Printing of curriculum
Identification of Master Trainers (15th -31August ,2016):
  • Identification of Lead course coordinators based decided parameters
  • Identification of SIRD (TSIPARD) Coordinators
  • Approval of curriculum by Academic Council
Training of Master Trainers (1ST- 15TH September,2016):
  • Training and certification of Master Trainers identified above
Verify readiness
  • Conduct State wise visit to verify readiness of SIRD (TSIPARD) and SAU concerned
Roll out of trainings. (15TH -30TH September ,2016)
  • Conduct 30 days Training as per the training curriculum
  • Ensure daily attendance of SAU Resource Persons
  • Report to TISS
  • Monitoring and supervision.

3 Weeks Certificate Course for Rural Youth In Rural development for VSAs


C-SATA and SSAAT collaboratively developed 3 weeks certificate course for the rural youth especially those who involved in the Social Audit in their villages. The course main objective of the course to build the capacities on various issues to understand the development aspects which includes poverty, education, land reforms, agriculture ,health, panchayatraj, caste, tribe and gender and social audit process and various government schemes along with the personality development and communication skills.

Induction training to Newly Recruited Social Audit DRPs for conducting Social Audit of IWMP


Induction Training to build the capacities on various issues to understand the IWMP, DPAP, APRLP, Harayali Concepts and Technical aspect.

TOT on Social Audit of Mid Day Meal Programmes


To create awareness on Importance and implementation of MDMS and Social Audit process on MDMS.



To create awareness about the entitlements and orientation to mobilize wage seekers and work under MGNREGS in Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar Districts.
